Quetta: Bomb blast on Kirani Road, atleast 65 dead

A bomb has gone off in Quetta’s Shiite residential area Kirani Road, killing atleast 65 and injuring dozens others.

Furthermore, the blast happened in Hazara Town, Kirani Road’s Hussainabad Vegetable market, killing over 65 Shiites, including women and children.

Over a 180 people have been injured who have been shifted to the BM and CMH Hospitals.

According to media reports, the bomb was fitted in an auto-rikshaw and was being controlled by a remote. The explosives used were over 800kg.

It is also being said that the bomb blast was planned. Astounding is the fact that Kirani Road has FC Checkpoints on either side of it, yet the terrorists managed to get a 100kg bomb through those checkpoints without any hassle and managed to carry out the attack. Either the security personnel at these checkpoints are blind and deaf, or they were in on the attack and sided with the terrorists.
