Martyr Hasan Shamsi was killed by District Jail’s workers, family claims

Hasan Raza Shamsi was martyred a few days ago and hundreds of Shiites were present at his burial. His only daughter was seen calling out to him as the martyr was taken from his home to the cemetery. Nohakhuans recited nohas all the way to the cemetery and after. The Rasm-e-Qul will be held on Saturday the 29th of September.

The martyr’s cousin Syed Naseem Abbas Shamsi said that the 52 year old martyr has been in illegal imprisonment for the past 16 years. He was kept in a cell where the air wouldn’t even cross. The cousin went on to say that they had often asked the Superintendent  that the martyr’s jail sentence had ended so why was he still in prison? To this the superintendent had replied that they hadn’t received the orders for his release yet.

Furthermore, he said that the martyr had been given milk mixed with poison and was therefore, murdered. He said he was proud that a person in his family had followed on the footsteps of Imam Musa Kazim (a.s.), having been poisoned after 16 years of illegal imprisonment. He said that Quran promises that Martyrs live forever and Syed Hasan Shamsi is proof of that because 10 hours after martyrdom, his ears were still bleeding!
