Karachi: Shiite hatred continues, several Shiite residential areas attacked by Police
According to our correspondent, several Shiite populated areas of Karachi came under attack from Police today. We have received reports that several Shiite youngsters have been arrested.
Furthermore the areas were attacked by police and rangers illegally. When a government official was confronted about these incidents, he seemed to go silent. A Shiite youngster has been arrested from Jaffar-e-Tayyar and another from Ancholi.
It is worth mentioning that several Shiite youngsters have already been arrested last night in attacks similar to these. The Security Agencies are providing no reason for the arrest of these Shiites. An important police official revealed that these ‘operations’ are being conducted on orders from the government. The same police seems unable to stop or arrest those Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorists involved in incidents that kill Shiites everday.
Tempers are running high amongst Shiites as these arrests have occured after the planned massacre in Babu Sir [which took 25 Shiite lives] and the bomb blast at a bus carrying Shiite passengers to the Al Quds rally. The political parties which come into power from Shiite votes are failing to protect them. According to analysts, the increasing sense of hopelessness amongst the Shiites can be very dangerous and cause severe harm. The government is adding to their anger.
