Karachi: Police ‘kidnap’ 3 Shiite boys

According to reports, 3 Shiite boys were arrested by police late last night from Nazimabas, Karachi.

Police arrested the 3 from Al Asif Apartments, near Nazimabad’s Noor-e-Iman Masjid. The boys arrested have been identified as Wajahat Ali, Turab Hussain and Haider Zaidi. So far no information as to the boys’ whereabouts has come to light as the police at nearby police stations deny having arrested anyone.

This is not a new incident for Shiites in Karachi. Infact, this has been done to their teenage boys and young men several times. The cycle runs like this; the Shiite men get arrested, the police denies having arrested them, a few days later the men are showed on the media as ‘terrorists’ the police arrested from somewhere far away. This was exactly what Martyr Askari Raza was working against before he was targeted and killed.
