Karachi: Extremists firing on Imambargah met with resistance
According to our correspondent, extremists opened fire on Gulshan Iqbal’s Madinat ul Ilm Imambargah but scattered after the guard fired back.
Furthermore the incident occurred yesterday in Karachi’s Gulshan Iqbal. Eye witnesses claim the firing from the extremists’ side was rather extensive but ended quickly when the Imambargah security returned fire. The terrorists managed to escape again, as usual. No casualties occurred in the incident.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Imambargah Madinat ul Ilm has been targeted by extremists. Last year on the 8th of Rabi ul Awwal, the Imambargah was attacked and one of the attackers was killed when the guard returned fire. A few years ago, the Imambargah was badly damaged when a bomb went off inside it.
