Gilgit: Extremists open fire killing a Shiite and injuring 2 others
According to our correspondent, extremist terrorists opened fire in Baseen, killing 1 Shiite and injuring 2 others.
Furthermore, the incident occurred when Qazi Nisar ordered his bunch of SSP terrorists to open fire on a Shiite-owned shop. The 3 Shiites inside the shop, Safdar, Imran and Shoaib, all suffered bullet wounds and were rushed to the GHQ Hospital where Safdar s/o Mohammed Hasan succumbed to his wounds.
A few months ago a full-scale massacre of Shiites was carried out in Kohistan and Chilas where Shiite were hand-picked out of travel buses and brutally tortured to death. Following this massacre, now known as the Chilas Massacre, an awakening started amongst the Shiites in Pakistan which led to a 9 day sit-in outside Islamabad’s Parliament House. The protests stopped when the government promised to provide security to Shiite travel buses, to arrest the terrorists involved in the killings and most of all to ensure that Shiites weren’t killed on religious basis again. Now, several months later, this incident is really a show of the incompetent government and security agencies of Pakistan.
