Dadu: MPA Imran Zafar Lagahri’s shia enmity, Attack on Shia Population
A century old Shiite residential area near Dadu Site Road was attacked on the 23rd of July 2012 on orders from I.G. Sindh and M.P.A Imran Zafar Laghari.
Furthermore the residential area under attack was near Tehseel Khairpur Nathan Shah, Seetah Dadu Jogi Imambargah. Having been given the orders from the MPA, the Shiite residential area was attacked by Fareed Laghari and Qasim Laghari along with their accomplices. As a result, 6 Shiites were injured of which 2 have so far been reported to have been moved to the Civil Hospital. Residents accused Imran Laghari to be biased and facist and the main reason for the sect-related violence in the area. The local law enforcement agencies seem helpless infront of the MPA.
Eye-witnesses claim that Imran Laghari’s brother Fareed Laghari attacked the area along with a couple of his men with the intention of occupying it. He and his friends were armed with hockey sticks and guns both of which were used to torture the residents of the Shiite area. The injured included Salamat Jafari, the president of Seetah Dadu Rehman Nagar, Khadim Hussain Jafari and 7 others all of whom were moved to a nearby hospital. The Shiites of the area later referred to their local police station to file an FIR against Fareed Laghari but were, amazingly, denied. The SHO refused to put Fareed Laghari’s name in the FIR and instead filed it against the ‘Laghari Brothers’ in general. However, Fareed Laghari himself filed an FIR against the Shiites who resisted the attack. The MPA has tried to forcefully occupy and demolish Shiite houses for a while now and no one seems to be able to stop him.
The land of Sindh has long since become a breeding ground for terrorists of banned organizations and governments that support them. So far, neither Police nor Rangers have had the guts to go up against them while the media remains in a historic silence against this genocide and unjustice.
